Domain rename process restructures production Active Directory forest.

A large corporate client's implementation of a  multi-forest Active Directory design  had resulted in forest and domain names that prevented the  universal use of forest trusts.  Forest trusts provide the highest level of security between Active Directory forests.

Together with the client, Pennic Consulting  identified a naming structure that eliminated the conflict.

A rename procedure was the most expeditious path to the the new naming structure.  The rename procedure needed to be executed in a multi-domain forest containing over 6000 clients and several hundred servers.  Pennic Consulting designed, tested, and helped execute the domain rename procedure that implemented the new naming structure.
